Traino (remolque), Traino, 2014-2015,steel wire, wood beam, chairs,
(550cmx20cmx20cm), 50mx50m.
A large wooden beam is suspended by 192 wires. Each wire is attached to a chair from the Cavallerizza Real theatre in Turin. The former theatre ceased to operate in 2007 and is now occupied by a citizen assembly. The wires aggregate tensions that support and suspend a large wooden beam. ‘Traino’ leans against the old gate of the stable, coinciding with the central stage of the theatre. The wooden beam is pressed against the opening of the gate by means of minute tensions that spread among the fixed structures. The installation gathers perspectives that converge on a central spatial projection and conjoins disjunctive perspectives and distributed tensions.
